The ties developed within the Chamber, meant not only jobs, but a chance to grow professionally and showcase my developing skills. I still get repeat business from some of those very same "charter customers" I acquired during the mid 90's when I first joined the Chamber and some deep friendships have developed over the years. Besides added business, Chamber membership has other rewards. Business Referrals. Each month the Chamber answers hundreds of calls, emails and walk-in inquiries from people looking for services, merchandise, organizations and contacts. We always refer to our Member businesses. Your business benefits from these referrals.

Weekly E-Flash. The Chamber sends a weekly electronic communication to 400 businesspeople, community leaders and public officials each week. The first Friday of the month it is sent as an e-newsletter with short articles and topics pertinent to businesses and our chamber members and the other Fridays it is sent as an e-flash with chamber member, and community news and happenings. As a member you can publicize your events, promotions and business news free of charge in our E-Flash.

Relocation/Tourism Packages.Put your company's name before businesses and individuals who request information about moving to or about activities and entertainment in Port Orchard/South Kitsap. The Chamber receives an average of 15 requests a month for our relocation and our tourism packages. We send out our members marketing materials to the individuals making these requests. If you are targeting newcomers, there's no better way to stretch your marketing dollars.

Guides and Directories.The Port Orchard Chamber publishes several publications—the Membership Directory, a very popular Port Orchard/South Kitsap Map, Historic Port Orchard Walking Map, Port Orchard/South Kitsap DVD, Events and Tourism brochure and more. General Membership Luncheon Meeting.Each month the chamber meets for lunch, a special speaker/presentation, community and chamber announcements and an opportunity to network and greet other business-persons. Speakers are frequently very well known names in the state or region and meetings are well attended.

Chamber After Hours Each month the Chamber offers all it's members the chance to network and socialize and one to several members the chance to host an After Hours event. An informal stop by event to network and have bite to eat and beverages on the way home from work After Hours have no cost for members to attend and hosting members have a great opportunity to showcase their business.

T.G.I.F. Biz Breakfast
These provocative bi-monthly sessions provides an opportunity to educate members on legislative issues as well as other business education topics. The informal breakfast setting allows participants to ask the experts and discuss issues -
Annual Meeting/Installation Banquet
Each year, the Chamber thanks it's outgoing President, installs it's new officers and board members and honors a specially selected Man and Woman of the Year. This is a great opportunity to meet other Chamber business leaders. Your company can benefit greatly from the exposure sponsoring this event offers. -
Business Showcase and Best of SK Awards
Each spring the Chamber holds a Business Showcase- an opportunity for members to showcase their business, merchandise and services to other members and to the general public and community for a modest fee. This year the showcase will include business awards in "The Best of SK" -
Chamber Committees
Are you interested leading, mentoring and shaping your business community? Want to meet other members who share your interests? Volunteer for one of the many chamber committees and be a very important part of the Chamber. -
Ambassadors
Ambassadors assist in Open Houses and Grand Openings of local businesses. They act as greeters at the Chamber monthly luncheons, welcoming new members and guests, sometimes even mentoring new members. Chamber Board members often come out of the Ambassadors group. -
