The 2009 Murder Mystery Planning Committee invites you to be a part of our committee!  Join us for our planning meetings every Tuesday morning at  9am at Myrhe's Restaurant or call the Chamber office at 360-876-3505 for more information.

So what is a Landlubber Pirate Dinghy Derby Race?  Think of it as a bed race or soap box derby race, but with your derby ‘car' decorated or made to look like a pirate dinghy, constructed out of what-ever you want, how-ever you want. And you race your pirate dinghy derby on land, Prospect St. in Port Orchard to be exact. Teams are four people, one must be inside driving, the other three pushing. Registration is $25 a team. Put your team together, if you are the captain you don't have to push! The Chamber hopes businesses, groups or clubs will challenge each other to participate. Rules for the race include: Dinghy not to exceed 10 feet in length and 4 feet in width.  The dinghy must have at least one recyclable item and that item must be listed on the registration form.  Children's teams must have adult supervision and parental consent.Trophies will be awarded to: Best Decorated Pirate Dinghy.  And a 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place will be awarded in each of the
categories: Corporate/Business, Organization/Non-Profit Affiliation, Individual/Private entry, Children's class (there may be varied age heats for Children's class)
